Rich Greenwood, Director of Instruction at Tour Golf in Agoura Hills California shows you how to hit down with your irons by using a weight shift. Many people ask why they can't make a divot when they strike the golf ball. A lot of this has to do with hanging back on their right side on the downswing and flipping the club head through impact thus picking the ball clean or even topping the golf ball. To help make a downward strike on the golf ball at impact you need to have a little bump to your lead leg before the start of the downswing. From there your back knee moves forward toward the ball and your back heel lifts up. This allows you to keep the hands leading the club head into impact. https://www.facebook.com/rich.greenwood.39 https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCRqcK6XN2b29SaqMXFXKQZg
